Dedicated Canada VRS Numbers
What is a Dedicated Canada VRS Number?
When businesses and organizations provide dedicated VRS phone numbers, they connect directly with Deaf customers through their call centres. Dedicated VRS numbers are answered by call centre agents familiar with VRS. Once an organization has set up their VRS number, Canada VRS adds the number automatically added to each VRS user’s directory.
What’s in it for Your Business?
Comply with Accessibility Mandates

Widen Customer Base
Canada Video Relay Service helps your organization comply with the Canadian Accessibility Act.
As the Accessible Canada Act rolls out across the country, many Government and enterprise level companies and organizations are interested in implementing solutions to help them comply with the Act.
Canada Video Relay Service (VRS) can help make your organization accessible to customers, who communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) and langue des signes québécoise (LSQ), when they use Canada VRS to connect with your call centre services.
Currently, over 10,000 Canadians who are Deaf and hard of hearing use Canada VRS to access and make telephone calls. VRS is a free service mandated by Canada’s telecommunications regulator, the CRTC, and is managed by the Canadian Administrator of VRS, Inc., (CAV). Using a custom PC/Mac or mobile app, VRS callers are connected to a sign language interpreter who provides real-time interpretation for telephone calls. Canada VRS is available on 24/7/365 basis.
