CAV Board of Directors
A Message from David Joseph
Hello. I’m David Joseph, LSQ Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Director and Chair of the Board of Directors. Welcome to CAV! It’s my pleasure to give you a brief overview of the Board’s role and our vision.
The governance structure of CAV is intentionally crafted to incorporate diverse perspectives from the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) community, sign language interpreters, Telecommunication Service Providers (TSPs), and the Canadian public. Our board operates as a stakeholder-board, with the exception of two Independent Directors whose key attribute in these roles is objectivity.
Our responsibility is to guide the overarching direction of CAV, collaborating closely with the Executive Director to ensure the organization fulfills its vision and mission. Our vision is centred around empowering Deaf Canadians in their daily lives. We are committed to maintaining the highest quality standards to enhance the communication experiences of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community across the country.
Thank you for joining us on this journey at CAV!
