CAV Board of Directors
A Message from the Chair
Hello, and welcome to CAV.
My name is Mark Kusiak, and I am honoured to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Administrator of Video Relay Services (CAV).
CAV’s governance model is designed to represent a wide range of perspectives, including those of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) community members, sign language interpreters, Telecommunication Service Providers (TSPs), and the Canadian public. Together with two Independent Directors who bring an objective lens, our Board works to ensure that CAV remains grounded in its purpose and responsive to the communities it serves.
As a Board, we provide strategic oversight and guidance, working closely with the Executive Director to support CAV in fulfilling its mission. Our shared vision is to serve Deaf and hard-of-hearing Canadians by ensuring high-quality, accessible, and inclusive communication through VRS.
Thank you for visiting our site and for supporting CAV’s work to build stronger, more connected communities across the country.
